The hand forged 28" blade made by a very skilled craftsman has twin fullers running the full length, and carried a keen edge! The spike of the spear is 19" long, and would be pushed into the ground at an angle before the brush beating commenced to herd the lion towards the spears. The overall length is 59.5" Wood hardwood shaft appears original and is unusual in that it has been hand grooved over its entire surface to provide good grip. A super and rare display item.
